Q. What is the cost of a pool?
A. It is very difficult to price out a pool without
specifics. It is necessary to know how much room you
have to build based on your survey. Some customers only
have limited space. Small spaces lead to very creative
pool designs. Here are some questions we may ask you: Is
it an aesthetic addition that you want to look natural?
Or is it for exercise? Do you want a water feature? Do
you want large steps into the pool or a sun bench? What
about pavers, travertine or acrylic? Do you want to
screen it in? As you can tell there are so many
variables that set the final price of your pool. We
would be glad to offer our standard options and price
out any upgrades you are interested in.
Q. Can I just get a kidney shape with 3’ of walk
space around it?
A. Of course you can. However it is no extra cost to
have us custom design a pool for you. We have many
designs to choose from that we can modify to your
wishes. Or we can start from scratch. You tell us.
Q. How long is the process?
A. It depends on what county we are building in. Duval
and Baker permit processes are very quick, just a couple
of days. Fernandina, Nassau, and St. Johns take about 3
weeks for the permit. If your neighborhood has a Home
Owner’s Association, it is necessary to have their
approval before we will start. (We will help you
complete the paperwork for your HOA, however you are
responsible for whatever fee they charge for their
review.) Once we have the permit in hand, you are placed
on the excavator’s schedule which is about 2 weeks out.
Once the pool is dug, it is about 8 weeks of
construction. Please be aware that weather affects every
aspect of the pool build. One rainy day has a domino
effect on the schedule.
Q. Are the cost of permits and county recording fees
included?
A. Yes. All fees associated with permitting are
included in the price we provide you. |
